Studying at the College’s Coleraine campus helped transform learning from a chore to an enjoyable experience, according to Castlerock student, Calum MacKenzie. Calum has just completed a Level 3 Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science and is now on track to fulfil his dream of becoming a primary school teacher. He was awarded three Distinction* - the equivalent of three A*s at A level – and has accepted a place at Plymouth University to do a Batchelor of Education degree, specialising in PE.

After GCSEs, Andrea did a Level 3 Diploma Travel and Tourism at College’s Coleraine campus and was awarded an overall Distinction* - the equivalent of three A*s at A level. In September she starts a degree in International Travel and Tourism Management at Ulster University.

The workshop was designed to enable the Northlink College leadership team to present, debate and agree a way forward in embedding a culture of continuous improvement with the aim of increasing the impact of management decisions on the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of technical vocational education and training (TVET).

Following on from the ISP Foundation project, Northern Regional College has secured support and Funding from the British Council to engage in a new one year ISP Advanced project in 2018/19 with Vuselela and Taletso TVET Colleges, North West Province South Africa. The aim of the ISP Advanced project is to ‘Strengthen our international partnership enhancing staff and student experience by providing additional opportunities to develop working practices in Tourism and Business in the Northern Ireland, UK and the North West Province of South Africa.’
