Two Northern Regional College students, Caolin Coyle and Ryan Strain, are currently celebrating success on the football pitch with the Northern Ireland Schoolboy International U18 squad. The Level 3 Sports students started the year with a hard fought draw and strong performance against Australia schools, followed by a 3-1 win in a friendly against Jersey.

Laura Firth, Head of Student Experience, said: “Emphasising the importance of internet safety is a message which we are continuously reiterating to our students, so being able to participate in a day like this is a welcome opportunity for the College to formally participate in an event organised at a UK-wide level.”
Continue ReadingNorthern Regional College in partnership with SkillbuildNI held a successful intercampus competition this week where 45 top trainees from across its campuses competed in the areas of Brickwork, Carpentry, Joinery, Electrical Installation and Plumbing Pipework. The Skillbuild competition, run by CITB NI, is held annually each spring and is the largest multi-trade competition in the UK for young students and apprentices with the top local construction apprentices competing to win coveted titles in a various range of trades. The winners of the intercampus competition will progress to the Northern Ireland regional finals and may then go on to represent Northern Ireland in the Skills Show UK and potentially at WorldSkills.
