Northern Regional College students were celebrating this week as they won two BEST Awards run by Colleges NI to reward outstanding work in Northern Ireland’s Further Education sector. The Awards recognise innovation in a wide range of areas ranging from creative industries, to visual design and life sciences being cultivated by students and lecturers across Northern Ireland’s six Further Education Colleges.

Now in its third year this qualification provides a proven alternative route to a career in the Accountancy and Finance profession. After successful completion of the two year programme students can progress to either Chartered Accountancy exams or Chartered Management exams (CIMA).

Continue ReadingPerforming Arts students from the Northern Regional College are making final preparations to their performance, to showcase their skills and talent at the End of Year show at, Theatre at the Mill, Mossley Mill on Wednesday 10 May. The performance will begin at 7.30 pm. The End of Year Show is a perfect opportunity for both groups of Performing Art students – Level 2 and Level 3 - to come together and showcase their drama, dancing and music abilities which they have developed and enhanced throughout their time on the course in front of their most challenging audience to date – parents/guardians and friends.

At the ‘Celebrate with CCEA’ awards ceremony hosted at Titanic, Belfast., celebrating with Northern Regional College were Adela Puterkova from St. Patrick’s College, Ballymena, who was awarded Learner of the Year Award in Occupational Studies: Design and Creativity Level 2 and Katie Farquhar from Dunclug College, who was awarded Learner of the Year Award in Occupational Studies: Environment and Society Level 2.
