Northern Regional College, Level 3 Travel and Tourism students recently undertook work experience in organisations across all sectors of the Travel and Tourism industry. A wide variety of businesses participated in the programme and offered student placements and a valuable learning and working environment for Level 3 travel and tourism students hoping to secure future employment after their studies.

Skillbuild NI, run by CITB NI, is held annually each spring with the top local construction apprentices competing to win coveted titles ranging from brickwork to wall and floor tiling. The winners may then go on to represent Northern Ireland in the Skills Show UK and potentially at WorldSkills.

The programme was made up of Master Classes and lectures on a range of diverse and exciting opportunities available to students in the world of computing. Students who are part of the IT Career Academy and the Software Professional course received talks from SQS (World leader in Software Quality), Schrader Electronics (Manufacturer of tyre pressure monitors) and McAuley Engineering (manufacturer and supplier of sheet metal parts and components).
