Toyota New Model Training Course at Northern Regional College

Wednesday

Technicians from Toyota Centres throughout Northern Ireland recently attended an intense 2x1 day New Model Training course provided by the Toyota Academy based at Northern Regional College’s Farm Lodge campus Ballymena. The Toyota Academy provides Toyota Technicians with the expert skills and knowledge to service and maintain this highly technically advanced vehicle technology. Based on Toyotas recent investment in numerous new safety features on the Toyota Prius and Hybrid Rav4 that are set to be released to the market soon, a training session was provided to upskill all Toyota technicians.

George McMillan from Northern Regional College Toyota Academy explains, “The New Model Training course provides vital training and upskilling for Toyota technicians on the new safety features that are being produced for the first time.  For example, Radar Cruise where the car follows the car in front slows down & speeds up or comes to a halt. Pre Collision Awareness where the car is looking at the surrounds & if need be will stop the car without you operating the brake. These are just a few of the items being covered within the session.  For the first time as well, we are fulfilling the request of one of the Centres “Curtis Cars Ballymena” allowing a customer to sit in on the training.  We are delighted to be involved in providing first rate training locally.”
