This exciting and challenging programme commences on 3rd March and offers young people the opportunity to obtain a City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Personal Development & Contributing to the Community qualification. This course commences early February and runs over a twelve week period. No previous education or experience is necessary.
Students on the programme will participate in outdoor pursuits, team building projects, planning and community projects, have the opportunity to gain experience within a work placement, develop their skills in preparing CV’s, job applications, interview skills and obtain career advice.
NRC course Co-ordinator for the Prince’s Trust programme, Gerry Drake said that “This is an excellent programme for young people to consider, if they are not currently in full-time employment, training or education. The course is free to the student and it does not affect a young person’s benefits. We ensure that the programme is delivered in a fun and interactive way, while challenging at the same time”.
He added that “Participants of this course will learn new skills and will gain increased confidence, motivation and other employability skills while working towards a nationally recognised qualification”.
