Personal health and well-being was top of the class for students from the Northern Regional College, at the Magherafelt Campus.
As part of a student initiative to promote better health, Cancer Focus NI brought the ‘Keeping Well Van’ to the College where students had the opportunity to talk to professionals on a variety of health issues.
Stephen McCartney, NRC Student Support Manager said, “We are delighted that our students could avail of the professional services of Cancer Focus NI. Students had the opportunity to speak with a Health Promotions Officer and Nurse on issues such as their diet, lifestyle and were able to avail of a variety of blood checks and medical advice on a range of health and well-being issues. The initiative proved so popular that many of our staff took advantage of the opportunity while the mobile van was on site”
