NRC Prince’s Trust Students Celebrate

Wednesday

Photo Credit: Antrim Times. Congratulations to both Coleraine and Larne students who completed the Princes Trust Programme in December at the Northern Regional College.

Coleraine tutor Nicole Corr said, “The Prince’s Trust Team Programme is a challenging  twelve week personal development course that is delivered in a fun and interactive way. The focus is on working as a team on a number of activities, including work experience, qualifications, practical skills, community projects and a residential week. The students have worked hard throughout this programme and it is great to see so many family and friends celebrating with us here today.”

Bridget Scott, Larne tutor continued, "This was an extremely enjoyable event where our students presented their 12 week jouney and displayed art and creative pieces and staged wonderful musical performances."

The programme which is open to young people aged 16 to 25 encourages team members to think about their futures. Over the duration of the course programme, team members spend a week away at a residential activity centre, undertake a project based in their local community, complete a work placement and participate in a team challenge.  The programme is due to start again on the 2nd February (Larne) and 23rd March (Coleraine).
