NRC Career Academy (Engineering) Increases Employability for Young Engineers

This week 26 Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering students were interviewed at Grafton Recruitment, Ballymena for a place on the Career Academy (Engineering) programme. The aim of this programme is to increase employability in our young engineers.

This week 26 Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering students were interviewed at Grafton Recruitment, Ballymena for a place on the Career Academy (Engineering) programme.  The aim of this programme is to increase employability in our young engineers. 

Competition was extremely high with all students performing very well but local industry lead this programme and had already determined the number of places that they would support. Places have now been offered to the 14 students who will benefit from a number of  fantastic career opportunities between now and finishing their current programme in 2015 such as:

(1) Capital Experience Motivational Trip to London (Nov 26th)

(2) Industry mentors in engineering

(3) Behind the scenes trips to companies

(4) Paid work experience in engineering summer 2014 (6 weeks)

(5) Seminars / specialist engineering lectures

(6) Additional qualifications

(7) Graduation in London May 2015
