Sean McNamee and Sarah McCluney who are both Motor Vehicle apprentices at the Northern Regional College will travel over with Student Enrichment Officer Lesley Anne Beacom. Lesley Anne explains ‘We are delighted that both Sean and Sarah will be representing NRC at the NUS conference in Liverpool next week. This is a fantastic opportunity for both students and will give them the chance to link with fellow apprentices across the regions and to discuss issues that affect them. This is the first time that the National Society of Apprentices will be represented at this conference and as a new initiative NRC is proud to be at the forefront of its establishment.
The high profile conference gathers student leaders from across the UK to set NUS policy for the year ahead, and elect national student representatives.
The student delegates will discuss and vote on motions which will become policy of NUS when passed. The policy will inform the organisation about what its student members think about key issues and how NUS represents these.
