The Northern Regional College has completed a three day Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) funded Acumen Management course to local employers.
The course, which was run at NRC’s Coleraine Campus, brought managers from the Ramada Hotel, Bushmill Inn, Blackstaff Communications and Spar together where they had the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills through the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership programme.
Roy Humphries, NRC’s Acumen Programme Manager said that “NRC Acumen is well placed, to deliver high-grade business and organisational leadership and management training to local employers. The College is on a select list of preferred providers to deliver DEL funded business and management courses. This current funded programme is extremely beneficial to local employers and businesses facing challenges.”
Commenting on the course, Mathew Metcalf from Blackstaff Communications said “Businesses are continually under pressure to deliver results with limited resources. Having this opportunity to attend a DEL funded Acumen course with NRC has given me and the other employers a great opportunity to learn new skills and identify solutions, we would certainly recommend that local employers take advantage of the expertise available to them.”
Acumen short courses include Performance Management, Leadership Skills, Presentation Skills, Time Management, Creative Thinking and Problem Solving, Social Media marketing, Business Improvement techniques, Successful Negotiation and Team Leading. A wide range of further courses is available.
