The Northern Ireland Electrical Awards recognise and reward the achievements of those working in the province’s diverse electrical sector.
Organised by the Electrical Magazine and judged by an independent panel of respected industry experts, the awards collectively recognise the achievements of both companies and individuals.
Sean McAleese, Training Manager at Northern Regional College, said:
“We are thrilled that the hard work and talent of so many of our apprentices are being recognised at these awards. We have worked closely with local employers over many years to ensure we are equipping our students with industry-level skills, and these invaluable relationships help us to ensure our students receive training at the very highest level.”
Calum McCauley, who is up for the award alongside his colleagues, said:
“I’ve been interested in a career as an electrician for as long as I can remember and I’ve always strived, both in College and on-site, to achieve the very highest standards, in everything I do, so it’s really meaningful to have that hard work and effort recognised with a nomination like this one.”
Adrian, who is currently in the first year of his Level Three apprenticeship and also in the running for the accolade, said:
“I’m thrilled to be nominated for this award. Throughout my apprenticeship so far, I feel that the College has supported me in my work on-site and likewise, my employer has really supported my work in College. Without the support of both I wouldn’t have been able to achieve what I have done so far. I’m honoured to be considered for this award and I’m wishing all of my colleagues the very best of luck too.”
The winners of the 2019 Electrical Awards will be announced at a Gala Awards Evening at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast, on Friday 21 June 2019.
