Project co-ordinator Irvine Abraham said: “We are delighted to have been successful in our bid for this Erasmus+ funding and are looking forward to getting the projects underway.
“More than 20 members of staff and over 600 students stand to benefit from the collaboration.”
Professor Terri Scott, Principal at Northern Regional College said: “Providing our students with opportunities to gain international experience as part of their studies will improve employability and widen their career options.
“The College works closely with employers to ensure our students have the adaptable skills needed for both the local and global marketplaces, so participation in these projects will undoubtedly enrich their student experience and open up future job prospects.”
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s (EU) programme for education, training, youth and sport, with the EU committing £12 billion to the programme between 2014 and 2020. In the UK, the programme is managed by the Erasmus+ UK National Agency, a partnership between the British Council and Ecorys UK.
