Over the past 18 years, Professor Terri Scott has had significant leadership roles in education and the public sector.
Prior to becoming President of IT Sligo, she held senior positions at Dublin City University and the University of Ulster, and Visiting Appointments at Carnegie Mellon University and MIT (Massachusettes Institute of Technology).
From 2002-2006 she was Managing Director at Invest Northern Ireland responsible for entrepreneurship and regional development.
She has worked extensively with multinationals and SMEs in promoting economic development and innovation.
Professor Scott, who is originally from Derry, is married with three children who are all in their 20s.
