Jennifiers design is based on the concept of blood, sweat and tears combined with the stroght undelaying image of the boxing glove showing the power and strenght needed to Brenda Crotty, NRC Director of Planning and Customer Services at NRC is pictured handing the first trophy, the Hall of Fame trophy to be presented to Neil Sinclair to Councillor Pat McCudden and Alison Bennington from Newtownabbey Borough Council.
Dean Holmes Sport and Play Development Officer said, “The trophies really are amazing and really fitting of the fantastic sporting achievements of the sports stars in the Borough. The partnership with the college has been going from strength to strength and the competition with the art students has really added to the event.”
Darlene Hagan-Bezgin, Curriculum Manager Art & Design, added, “This is a major celebration for the students and staff in the Art & Design Department .We would like to congratulate Jennifer and like to extend our thanks to the Council for this competition and for giving her the opportunity”.
The sports awards event will take place on Wednesday 30 April at the Theatre at The Mill and it is sure to be a great night for all involved. The tickets for the event were snapped up really quickly but for anyone who wants to spectate at the event there is still a few tickets left.
