Making IT your language! Professional Software Development Course

Are you looking for a career opportunity in IT? Why not try our Professional Software Development course? The Professional Software Development course is a 17 week training programme to provide HND, degree or equivalent graduates in non IT disciplines with the skills and experience required to take up exciting new opportunities in the IT industry. It delivers accreditation of the industry recognised IT qualification, BTEC Level 5 Extended Diploma in Professional Software Development.

The programme has been enhanced by the further education sector with input from local employers and with support from the Department for Employment and Learning.

The Course

The training comprises of 17 weeks of classroom based learning, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. The selection process will include an online aptitude test which must be completed by Monday 21 July 2014 at 4pm, an information session scheduled for early August 2014 and a second supervised aptitude test scheduled for mid August 2014. The training for successful applicants will take place in each of the six college regions, the locations are Ballymena, Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Dungannon, Lisburn and Portadown with the courses commencing September 2014.

Applications

Experience is not required but applicants must possess a HND, degree or equivalent in any discipline other than IT. For the duration of the programme participants will be paid £150 training allowance per week and a reimbursement of weekly travel costs over £30.
