Expert on Entrepreneurship delivers seminar at Northern Regional College

Thursday

Larry Farrell, a world leading authority on entrepreneurship who has worked with global companies and government agencies in the fields of job creation and economic development, has been addressing delegates at the Entrepreneurial leadership Seminar at Northern Regional College. Speaking at the event attended by representatives from the corporate and public sectors across Northern Ireland Mr Farrell spoke of the reasons behind success or failure for entrepreneurs and the vital link between having a product that customers want and the limitless opportunities that now exist in niche markets on a global basis.

Professor Terri Scott, Principal and CEO Northern Regional College said:

“We are delighted to welcome a speaker of Mr Farrell’s stature to address  our conference and to facilitate a workshop with local business leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs. Northern Ireland’s economic growth and job creation is dependent on innovation and leadership across our business community and a more entrepreneurial economy. At Northern Regional College we are committed to working in partnership with local businesses in the development of curriculum enabling our students to make a contribution to building our economy.  Larry Farrell inspires and educates us all about what that takes”.

June Ingram, Director of Skills & Industry Division in the Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) said:

“Events such as this have the potential to make a huge impact on those attending. An idea from just the right source, at the right time, can have an impressive and even disproportionate impact.  Across the UK as well as globally, entrepreneurship has gained its place as an area of interest for individual and businesses that aspire to succeed. It’s also an area of particular interest for DEL as the Department for Employment and Learning commences a review of Leadership and Management in Northern Ireland.”
