Lynsey Gordon and Noel Graham were selected as this year’s top students in the Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 Diploma. They are seen here receiving a trophy sponsored by AVX, Coleraine for the students who received the highest grades throughout the management course.
Noel, a Structural Engineer Wrightbus Ltd was delighted with the course training and said: “I identified the ILM Level 5 course as a suitable yet challenging formal qualification to help expand my skillset towards those preferred for Management positions. The course met these objectives, and I have already witnessed some of the benefits a qualification like this can bring.”
Lynsey Gordon, who manages a complex team of up to 45 members of staff in two departments in Galgorm Manor, commented:
“Completing the ILM level 5 qualification introduced new ideas of though and theoretical principles which were then applied to the workplace. Careful examination of current workplace procedures, team and self-performance was useful to highlight areas for development whilst the course also provided a framework for improvement. I would definitely recommend this course to other managers as many of the skills learned are now in place in my every working day.
