Course Content
This is a Personal Development course for students who wish to broaden their knowledge and skills within the area.
There are two units:
- Understanding the Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences and Development of Resilience
- Responding to Adverse Childhood Experiences by Building Resilience
Course Aims
This programme will enable you to understand the nature of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE), their impact on society and the individual, and development of resilience.
It will also enable you to understand how to respond to Adverse Childhood Experiences by building resilience.
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification although learners should be at least 18 years old to complete the qualification.
You can progress to Level 2/3 Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning & Development OR Level 4 Certificate in Supporting Individuals with Special Education Needs and Disabilities OR HNC/HND Early Childhood Education & Care OR Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Care, Learning and Development (Management) (Northern Ireland). These would all depend on your level of qualifications to meet entry criteria and individuals experience.
