Course Content
You will explore the following:
• understand the use of social media and the associated risks
• understand how digital marketing and social media may be integrated into business planning
• be able to use a digital marketing strategy to develop a digital marketing plan
• understand the use of websites for marketing and
• be able to use social media for marketing and promotion
Course Aims
The OCN NI Level 4 Award in Social Media and Digital Marketing qualification aims to develop knowledge and skills in the use of internet and communications technologies for marketing activities and manage the use of social media within organisations. With the increased use of communications technologies many companies are taking advantage of social media and digital marketing approaches to promote and market their products and services.
Special Features
Fully online flexible course. There are no set weekly lesson times.
Students will be provided with a weekly learning structure and will work independently through the course material on the college’s virtual learning environment at a time that is convenient each week. A tutor will also provide support and assignment advice throughout the course, and will be available for weekly one to one sessions over Teams.
Assessment Methods
You will be required to complete assessments which demonstrate your understanding throughout the course. Students will be expected to do additional reading outside the course materials and reference this in their assignments.
Submission dates will be set for assignments to ensure that the course is completed by the end of 12 weeks
You must have experience in managing a social media page for 3 months minimum.
You must be 18 years of age or over, resident of Northern Ireland and eligible to work in the UK.
The OCN NI Level 4 Award in Social Media and Digital Marketing will allow learners to progress into further learning in social media and digital marketing or related areas and/or into employment.
