Course Content
The OCN NI Level 2 Award in Awareness of Loneliness is targeted at learners who intend to or are currently working with individuals who are experiencing loneliness and/or isolation.
The objectives of the OCN NI Level 2 Award in Awareness of Loneliness are to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to enable them to:
• understand what is meant by loneliness and isolation
• understand causes and impact of loneliness and isolation
• be aware of support available to address loneliness and isolation
• know how to develop a plan for programme to address loneliness or isolation

Evidence gathered for online portfolio against learning outcomes.
This qualification is suitable for learners aged 19 years or over on or before 1 July 2021, resident of Northern Ireland and eligible to work in the UK.
The qualification is particularly suitable for those who already work in the field or who are looking to move into this area of work. It would be particular beneficial to unemployed people as they would acquire new skills and have the advantage of a qualification in the field.
