Course Content

The Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) covers the skills and knowledge needed to care for others in a broad range of health or social care settings. It is flexible to suit all fields of health and social care and is the main qualification required by the Quality Care Commission in England and the Care Councils in Wales and Northern Ireland. This is the recognised qualification for care workers and senior care workers in health and social care. To take the Level 3 qualification you must be working in a care setting already.

Applicants must have a level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care in order to apply for the Level 3. All applicants need to be in employment in a health and social care setting.

In the event of oversubscription, the College reserves the right to increase the entry criteria for this programme to GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above in preference to Essential Skills or lower graded GCSEs. Applicants will still be reviewed in date order and by order of preference.
