Course Content

This course is designed for those who have a keen interest in Holistic Therapies and want to gain a recognised qualification in Complementary therapies. This course is also suitable for anyone starting in or advancing in a career in complementary therapy and will equip you with the skills to work professionally as a Reflexologist, Aromatherapist and Massage therapist.

Modules include:

• Principles and practices of Complementary Therapies. (Assignment)
• Business practice for Complementary Therapies - This unit covers all of the information needed to set up a business as a Complementary therapist (Assignment).
• Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies. (Multiple choice exam)
• Provide Reflexology for Complementary Therapies -  Practically the student will learn how to carry out a Reflexology treatment to a professional standard (Case histories and practical assessments).
• Provide Aromatherapy for Complementary Therapies - Practically the student will learn how to carry out an Aromatherapy treatment to a professional standard (Case histories and practical assessments).
• Provide Massage for Complementary Therapies - Practically the student will learn how to carry out a Massage treatment to a professional standard (Case histories and practical assessments).

To achieve this qualification it is advisable to allow 3 hours per week at home for assignment, case histories and revision work.
