This qualification is aimed at those people working in health and social care settings where they are supporting individuals who are approaching the end of their life. This may include health, residential, domiciliary care and palliative care settings throughout Northern Ireland.
This qualification supports the Department of Health's national end of life care strategy and aims to improve end of life care practice and establish a standard across all services.
Learners will learn about various aspects of end of life care including communication, managing discomfort and supporting individuals with loss.
